The National Pest Management Association hosted the 2016 Global Bed Bug Summit last week in Indianapolis, IN. Speakers shared insights, strategies and best practices for those who treat or are impacted by bed bugs. Attendees had the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences in bed bug prevention and control. Industry experts convened in Indianapolis, IN from November 30 – December 2, 2016 to share the latest bed bug research and control strategies at this year’s Global Bed Bug Summit hosted by the National Pest Management Association (NPMA). Pest professionals in attendance walked away with the latest news and views on bed bugs from a scientific, business and field perspective. Get the highlight here…

 

 

Bed bugs would have a harder time feasting on guests at city hotels under a new bill set to be introduced in the City Council. The legislation, which will be introduced Tuesday (11/29/16), would require hotels to have exterminators inspect all their rooms for the blood sucking creatures every six months. Councilman Rafael Espinal (D-Brooklyn) said he decided the rule was necessary after reading in the Daily News that bed bug sightings in New York hotels jumped more than 44 percent between 2014 and 2015, with bugs spotted at some of the city’s swankiest properties.
